DaikyoNishikawa Corporation (hereinafter referred to as DaikyoNishikawa) has introduced a solar power generation system at its Honsha Plant as part of its environmental initiatives aimed at achieving carbon neutrality, and it commenced operation today.
This marks DaikyoNishikawa's inaugural foray into large-scale solar power generation through an onsite Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
As part of its commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, DaikyoNishikawa has set an interim target to reduce CO2 emissions by 50% compared to those in FY2013 by 2030, actively promoting energy saving measures and the introduction of renewable energy.
With the operation of this solar power generation system, an annual reduction of approximately 1,070 tons of CO2 emissions is expected.
Furthermore, DaikyoNishikawa plans to commence operation of another solar power generation system at its headquarters in June 2024. Subsequently, in order to promote the adoption of renewable energy, the company is considering the introduction of solar power generation systems at its other domestic plants and affiliated companies.
DaikyoNishikawa will continue to promote the use of green energy, contributing to the realization of a decarbonized society through environmentally conscious manufacturing.
