Activity examples
Facilitating active participation by women
Our activities include enhancing the personnel system and providing substantial support to career development according to life events. To prevent opportunity loss due to unconscious bias such as “because I am/the person is a woman” or “because I am/the person is a man,” we hold seminars and conduct awareness surveys on a regular basis. In addition, we promote the creation of a work environment and an organizational culture that enable diverse human resources to play an active role.
Efforts in the project for promoting active participation by women
This project consists of 11 female employees representing each division, and their monthly activities include identifying issues and revising systems from the perspective of female employees.
Networking events are held and opinions are exchanged inviting an outside officer as a lecturer. Efforts are made to eliminate unconscious bias and, for female employees, to promote women's career advancement by helping them become aware of issues they are currently unaware of. We are considering measures to promote self-directed career development for women and to improve psychological safety in the workplace.
Promoting the employment of people with disabilities
We take a proactive approach toward the employment of people with disabilities. In the approach, we place particular emphasis on creating a workplace where people can work with peace of mind. After assignment, we hold regular interviews with employees to grasp their current situations and listen to any problems they may have, in order to make improvements.
Promoting active participation by senior employees
We are working to improve the work environment and systems to promote the employment of the elderly so that human resources who can utilize their expertise and extensive experience and knowledge can continue to work after retirement age.
