- Nishikawa Kasei Co., Ltd., GP Daikyo Co., Ltd., and (former) DaikyoNishikawa Corporation merged to form new DaikyoNishikawa Corporation.
- At the same time as the merger, Nishikawa Kasei Co., Ltd. changed its trade name to DaikyoNishikawa Corporation and transferred its headquarters to Saka-cho, Aki-gun, Hiroshima.
- Established the R&D Center as a research and development department in Aki-ku, Hiroshima-shi.
